Mother’s Day Weekend Macramé Workshop at Hasbrouck House // May 13, 2017
Spend the afternoon creating on the porch of Hasbrouck House at this special family friendly macramé wall hanging workshop. Macramé wall hangings are unique pieces of art that achieve the effect of texture and depth through the use of knotting and creative intuition. What makes each piece special is in the hands of the creator.
$55/per person. Invite Time: 2:45 pm | Workshop Start Time: 3:00 pm | Workshop End Time: 4:30 pm | Workshop attendees are welcome to stay and work on their pieces until 5:30 pm
*Children 10 years and older are invited to participate accompanied by a parent. Please note that workshop size is limited to ensure an exceptional experience. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
Erin Di Fiore of Ohayo will provide an introduction to macramé as a fiber art and show the group a few of her pieces to provide examples and inspiration. She will teach the group how to form her favorite knot and guide everyone in starting their piece. The length of the workshop will afford each participant the time to get comfortable with the knots they have learned and to come up with a direction for their design. Each participant will leave with a completed macramé wall hanging to hang in their home!
