Job Description: Hasbrouck House is seeking short term maternity cover for a freelance part time Marketing Manager to support all marketing efforts at the hotel and Butterfield restaurant. This role will require 20-25 hours per week. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies based on marketing analytics that drive room and F&B sales through exposure as well as brand recognition and loyalty. This strategy will encompass all channels including online and offline marketing, brand standards (both visual identity and standards within the hotel), social media, influencer marketing, oversee PR efforts, and advertising (print, social and digital). This also includes guest communication and assistance with b2b partnerships, events & property programming.
Start-End Date: October 15, 2019 - Jan 15th, 2020
Main Responsibilities and Requirements:
This position will report to the GM of Hasbrouck House and Butterfield but will also work closely with our hotel guest services team:
Manage monthly and seasonal marketing plans for hotel and restaurant
Develop and execute social media strategy with main focus on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Possess awareness of current trends in social media marketing and social ads.
Follow monthly content calendars and deploy campaigns.
Work with in-house photographer to develop content needed to support marketing initiatives
Manage marketing strategy for all events produced in-house
Manage advertising budget
Coordinate the creation of all marketing materials needed for hotel events (print, social, digital)
Management and scheduling of email marketing campaigns, including copy/ content development, distribution and email collection
Work with sales team to support goals through creation of b-2-b marketing initiatives and offers.
Work closely with management and reference booking software to develop marketing strategies that align with rate strategy and occupancy needs.
Website maintenance, including content development and content publishing (Squarespace experience a must)
Manage influencer strategy and maintain influencer lists, relationships and collaborations.
High level of engagement with local event/tourist/corporate community/press and the ability to create and build profitable partnerships.
Manage all promotions, special events, and holidays from start to finish
Possess awareness of current food, drink and hospitality trends and incorporate those trends into marketing plans, social media and outreach
Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Advertising and Communications (hospitality industry experience essential)
Must be local and work on property a minimum of 2 days per week
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual hotels or restaurants including ROI / KPI metrics
In depth knowledge of social media marketing trends, content creation and scheduling in programs
Experience creating ads in Facebook Ads Manager
Demonstrated ability to manage, produce high quality content and grow social media accounts
Strong interpersonal and communication and copywriting skills a must
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies
Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials
Design/ Photo Editing experience preferred (Adobe Creative Suite)
Squarespace website building and maintenance a must
Exceptional with details and follow up
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Maintain a flexible schedule - weekends will be a MUST!
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
Experience developing b2b marketing strategies preferred
