Job Description: Hasbrouck House is seeking a freelance Marketing Manager to support all marketing efforts at the hotel with the potential of becoming a full time role. To start, this role will be 20-30 hours per week. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies based on marketing analytics that drive room and F&B sales through exposure as well as brand recognition and loyalty. This strategy will encompass all channels including online and offline marketing, brand standards (both visual identity and standards within the hotel), social media, influencer marketing, oversee PR efforts, and advertising (print and digital). This also includes guest communication and assistance with key partnerships, events & property programming.

Start Date: March 2019

Main Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Create and manage monthly and seasonal marketing plans for hotel

  • Develop and execute social media strategy with main focus on Instagram and Facebook

  • Create monthly content calendars

  • Work with in-house photographer to develop content needed to support marketing initiatives

  • Create marketing strategy for all events produced in-house

  • Manage advertising budget

  • Coordinate the creation of all marketing materials needed for hotel events

  • Management of email marketing campaigns, including copy / content development, distribution, analysis and audience maintenance

  • Work with sales team to support goals through creation of b-to-b initiatives and offers. This includes but is not limited to developing printed collateral to support direct sales team and guests.

  • Creates and maintains quarterly promotional strategy calendar supporting various hotel and restaurant efforts

  • Creates monthly/quarterly reports and presentations to report ROI for marketing initiatives to share with ownership teams.

  • Works closely with management to develop marketing strategies that align with rate strategy and occupancy needs.

  • Website maintenance, including content development and content publishing

  • Create and manage influencer strategy and maintain influencer lists and relationships

  • Develop and oversee all promotions, special events, and holidays from start to finish

  • Develop and manage all property-level strategic and local relationships

  • Analysis of marketing campaigns to develop a deeper level strategy

  • High level of engagement with local event/tourist/corporate community and the ability to create and build profitable partnerships.

  • Event planning and coordination

  • Possess awareness of current food, drink and hospitality trends and incorporate those trends into marketing plans and outreach


  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications (hospitality industry experience essential)

  • Must be local and work on property a minimum of 2 days per week

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual hotels, including ROI / KPI metrics

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must

  • 3+ years experience in marketing role (hospitality experience essential)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies

  • Knowledge of social media marketing and content creation in programs

  • Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials

  • Exceptional with details and follow up

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

  • Maintain a flexible schedule - weekends will be a MUST!

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

 To perform this job successfully, the individual must be punctual, reliable, be able to respond to off-hours phone calls immediately, calmly, effectively and with good temperament; and be able to report to work unexpectedly as circumstances may require. Main Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Provides high level of customer service to all guests at all times while working the front desk.

  • Acts as a team player at all times and able to multi-task and maintain a high level of detail in all tasks.

  • Make guest reservations, answer inquiries regarding rates and availability.

  • Be concierge for guests with a thorough knowledge of the surrounding areas and events happening on a weekly basis.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the room locations, types of rooms, room operations, package plans, promotions, hotel facilities.

  • Performs daily operations duties including but not limited to pool maintenance, property rounds, changing lightbulbs when needed, etc.  

  • Maintains a detailed knowledge about the hotel's spa services, onsite restaurants and hours of operations.

  • Check guests in and out, including preparation of guest bills and authorizing payments.

  • Dealing efficiently with day to day billing and guest service queries.

  • Be flexible at all times in order to cover the unexpected needs of the Hotel.

  • Knows all safety and understands emergency procedures and how to act upon them. Understands accident prevention policies.

Job Description: Our housekeepers our the heart and soul of our operation! They must be able to work independently to clean guest rooms quickly and thoroughly while maintaining a high level of detail to all work at all times. Our housekeepers clean common areas, our wellness center, and hotel restaurant as well as all public restrooms.

Start Date: April 2019

Main Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Be physically strong and able - this is a physically demanding job! Must be able to lift up to 50lbs of weight and go up and down multiple flights of stairs.

  • Able to continuously stand or walk

  • Replenish all guest amenities and supplies in rooms and track all mini-bar sales and report to the front desk.

  • Able to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently

  • Have strong English communication skills

  • Strip all beds and replace dirty linens and towels with clean ones.

  • Professional, both in appearance and demeanor

  • Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather

  • Consistently punctual - Lateness is not accepted!
